Somatic therapy in Houston, Texas

Therapy that works with your body, not just your mind.

IS THIS FOR YOu?

Somatic therapy might be right for you if:

  • You understand yourself well but something still feels stuck — in your body, relationships, or sense of ease.

  • You carry physical symptoms like chronic tension, fatigue, or pain that feels connected to stress or past experiences.

  • You feel disconnected — from your body, emotions, or the people around you.

  • Parts of you seem to work against each other — one part wants to move forward while another keeps pulling back.

  • You’ve been in therapy before and made progress, but something deeper still hasn’t shifted.

WHAT IT IS

Healing that starts in the body.

Somatic therapy recognizes that trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress live in the nervous system — not just the mind. By working directly with the body's signals, we shift patterns that talk therapy alone often can't reach.

Sessions are relational, paced, and tailored to you. We build safety first, then work with what your nervous system is ready to meet — bite-sized, never faster than your system can support.

$200 per session · 50 minutes · in-person in Houston or telehealth across Texas.

HOW WE WORK

The Modalities

Each modality has both a resourcing and a processing side — so we don't just move toward what's difficult, we build your capacity to meet it first.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) — Gently expands your nervous system's capacity and resilience, releasing survival responses that got stuck and restoring a felt sense of ease.

SE Touch Therapy — Mindful, fully-clothed therapeutic touch for nervous system regulation and early or pre-verbal trauma. Always consensual, always at your pace.

Parts Work — Get curious about the parts of you that feel in conflict — resourcing and honoring them rather than overriding or getting rid of them.

EMDR & Brainspotting — Reprocess traumatic memories while building positive resources, beliefs, and states. No detailed retelling required.

A NOTE ON TOUCH THERAPY

What SE Touch Therapy is — and isn’t.

SE Touch Therapy is not massage. It’s a therapeutic application of gentle, attuned touch — conducted fully clothed — to help your nervous system experience safety, groundedness, and co-regulation.

It’s especially effective for early-life or pre-verbal trauma that’s hard to reach through words alone.

Touch is always your choice and always at your pace. Many clients begin with no physical contact at all — simply building a felt sense of safety and having boundaries respected is part of the work.
